The development repository for the ROAR-NET API Specification is now publicly available on GitHub. It currently contains a work-in-progress, unreleased version of the specification that will continue to be updated until it is ready for the first release.
The goal of the ROAR-NET API Specification is to define the requirements for a programming interface between computational models of optimisation problems and optimisation algorithms, whether randomised or deterministic, in a language-agnostic way. Single-objective constructive-search and local-search approaches to combinatorial optimisation are currently supported, with extensions for continuous and discrete optimisation, multiobjective optimisation, and optimisation under uncertainty, planned or already under development.
