Description

The goals of this Short-Term Scientific Mission are to connect the methodologies for solving two combinatorial optimisation problems: for combinatorial discrepancy, the host group has developed an optimisation-based view, and for balanced sequential testing, which underpins event-sequence testing for software reliability, the applicant contributes (perfect) Sequence-Covering-Array methods. The plan is to integrate multiobjective conditions of uniformity into the established approaches and to tackle them with integer linear programming and matheuristics. Exact and heuristic methods will be developed and compared, and a Problem Statement will be prepared, paving the way for a joint cooperation culminating in a paper.
